I have been learning….Chinese!

once I sign my marriage papers in the coming months, this blog will be deactivated, but I’ll keep making language content over on my other one!

i was back and forth on creating one for my language journey but it just felt right! I want to document my progress as I deal with an international move and new culture!

my favorite YouTuber did a video on Chinese music and how destroying tones makes the songs indistinguishable or hard to understand

even for natives the songs can be a bit confusing…so I feel much better…hahaha

the way I look up resources on my phone and airdrop them to my iPad?! this was the best purchase ever.

Started off the morning with listening practice and I’m currently working on an HSK 1 video!

I understood 80% of it which has me feeling really good!

My weak point right now is tones. Some I’ve been able to memorize and get down (2+4,4+1) but the others really bog me down.

After researching a bunch of people’s learning methods, I’m sticking strong with Hello Chinese, and Pleco, Podcasts, and Listening Videos on YT.

Until I reach HSK 5.

I may add back in Duolingo it was just a little boring.
