Worn Wear Tour Stop #16 & 17. Pilgrim Surf Shop & Patagonia SoHo.
Not gonna lie, it’s not easy driving an 8,300 pound, bulky, redwood-wine-barrel-compiled, mobile garment repair wagon through the tight streets of NYC. However, all the honks, traffic and strenuous parallel parks were absolutely worth the friends made, times had and jackets stitched up.
Thanks to the fine folks of Pilgrim Surf Shop for hosting us and making us feel right at home amidst the surfboards & wetsuits and to Patagonia SoHo for saving a spot out front for us and lending their Worn Wear sewing machines to the cause!

What defines East Coast surfing and makes it unique? The east coast has such a rich history of surf culture that I don't think many people new to surfing here are aware of, especially here in the Northeast. The first east coast surfing magazine, Atlantic Surfing was published in Brooklyn, NY in 1965 by two 19-year–old surfers. One defining thing about surfing on the east coast in general is the infrequency of surf compared to the Pacific coast. This makes us east coast surfers a lot more appreciative of good surf... In other words, every surfer here turns into an amateur meteorologist!

What grooming products are you especially into these days? I'm really into the Fellow Barber Aftershave Tonic. You might say that’s strange because I have an unruly beard but it works amazing well to get sunscreen out of your pores on your face. The Fellow Texture Paste keeps my head and face wig under control, too.
