made a sheith comic for one of my final projects figured @sheithmonth was as good a time as any to post it <(♥.♥)>
Pilot Error
Starter for @sheithfromvoltron Keith sat on the side of his bunk at his form with his head leaned between his arms, his fingers curled around his hair on the back of his head. How could he fail that flight exam? It was easy, he had done it countless times before, why did he fail? And in front of Shiro... He felt beyond embarrassed. Even when the instructor was in his face giving the whole 'tough love' lecture of his, he didn't give a reason for such a horrible flight. As if they'd buy that he was stressed, it's the reason every student gives. Sure, it's easy and reasonable but he wasn't excusing himself for it. It wasn't as if he didn't know why he was more stressed than he had ever been lately, that was crystal clear, it was just no one's business but his own. One things for sure, he had to try get himself together before trying to request a re-take.
A thought that I had as I was falling asleep was that why did they call the Kerberos mission accident "pilot error"? The public must have known how long it was going to take for them to get to Kerberos from Earth. By the time Shiro, Matt and Samuel were captured, they had to have already been on Kerberos at least a week. But what if they reported the "pilot error" way before they even landed? What if the Garrison sent the Kerberos team to their deaths? Why would they call it "pilot error" if they had already landed on Kerberos???

The Significance of Cockpit Resource Management by James R. Coggins
Modern passenger airplanes are extremely safe, with overlapping safeguards (including having a pilot and co-pilot). An airplane rarely crashes due to a single problem. Usually, in an airplane crash, one or more mechanical issues are compounded by one or more pilot errors. “Cockpit resource management” is a training process that was developed after it was discovered that planes were crashing due…
