The Combat Jet Skystriker [XP-14F] was first released boxed in U.S. toy stores in 1983. The box included the driver, Ace. The toy was also sold in 1984 and 1985, then was discontinued in 1986. The Combat Jet Skystriker was released in the United Kingdom and Europe in the late 1980s. The initial release featured simpler decals. Later releases had decals identical to the US release, but with G.I. Joe decals replaced with Action Force ones. In Brazil in 1986, the Skystriker was released by Estrela Toys as the Super Caça-Bombardeiro.Takara released the Skystriker in Japan in 1986 as well. In the 1990s, a Funskool India Skystriker was released in a slightly darker shade of gray with red missiles. There are two versions of the nose gun on the Combat Jet Skystriker [XP-14F].
