Erintober Day 2 – Morning Chorus (Warbler)

Today’s study for Morning Chorus: a Northern Parula mid-song. I used the Pilot Metropolitan this time — a drier pen than the Asvine, but it let me push into the lines a little, almost like carving form out of sound.

After the weight and stillness of the Elder Bittern, this one feels like a reply. The posture is all lift and air — throat open, song spilling into the morning.

@pilotpensphilippines pens. Left to right: Metropolitan Retropop, Birdie, Petit Vicks Vaporub for scale. The Metropolitan was a birthday pen from 2016(?), the Birdie was a pasabuy via @drealkulit during Manila Book Fair (2014 or 2015?), and the Petit brush pen from NBS. These pens are quite reliable and would recommend them. The Pilot Birdie and Petit might be too short for others' preference.
