We made some new friends!

Before we proceed with planning and announcing the new round of Seasonal Spuffy (SOON), there's some happy news! Just like @seasonal-spuffy​ was already affiliated with buffyversebingo, we're now also affiliated with some other fabulous communities on LiveJournal and Dreamwidth: @buffyversetop5​, multifandom_bb, nekid_spike, noel_of_spike, and @summerofgiles​ (and most probably a couple more soon).

This means that we will occasionally help spread the word about their events, and they will do the same for us. It shouldn't add up to more than one or two links a month here, on average, though some times of year are naturally more buffy than others. You can also find all our affiliates listed in our LiveJournal and Dreamwidth profile and sidebar, for your exploring convenience.

We'd like to give a special shoutout to nekid_spike. The other comms all have their seasonal events, so we'll link to them when a good time comes to check them out, but nekid_spike runs year round, so - you guessed it - it's ALWAYS a good time to check it out! Some of you guys definitely know this comm already, but for those who have yet to have the pleasure: don't let the sparse recent entries page fool you. Most of the posts are visible to members only, so take a look at their profile page and join first in order to enjoy what it says in the community name. There are lots of challenges and fanworks to be had for various ships, and sometimes Spike even wears clothes! Have fun.

So when I decided to do an online cleanse and started to clean out my likes, I realised that I had two shitloads of more or less usefull writing tips that I never ever looked at because they were lost somewhere inbetween thousands of cute cat gifs. That’s when I decided to dedicate one of my spare URLs to making a writing themed sideblog.

So far it is not very neat as I mainly used it to clean out my likes. But I will soon get to that and try to  organise my “Help” tag into more telling categories like “World Building”, “Characters” and “Words”. I will also reblog my writing related stuff and edits (both fic and original stories) to this blog. On top of that there’ll be the occasional stock image to stroke your imagination as well as a few humourus findings from the literary world.

This has been a PSA, I’ll be glad to welcome a few of you to my sideblog <3

We're delighted to say Seasonal Spuffy has two more affiliates: whichwillow and @iwillrememberyoumarathon​. whichwillow, or the Which Witch Ficathon, is an annual fic writing event featuring Willow throughout the seasons. So if you like Willow and you want to see more stories about her, you might love this event.

And for the multishippers among us: while we celebrate the 20th anniversary of Something Blue, the fic writers at iwry_marathon will be celebrating the 20th anniversary of I Will Remember You. If you happen to enjoy both episodes, you can have two parties at once!
