omfg so i just remembered something from like jANUARY AND I CANT STOP LAUGHING

I hope you don't mind me asking, or me bothering you! But I saw your John cosplay and it was fantastic, can I ask how you made the wound look like that? You don't have to tell me if you don't wanna, I feel guilty for asking, plus I suuuuuck at these kinds of things..

It was actually insultingly easy.

I figured out where I wanted the wound and proceeded to grate it with a kitchen cheese grater, tear at it, and stab a butchers knife around a bit. I got it as tattered as I wanted using the different grater sizes!

Then I grabbed red food dye and some cheap fake blood that came with some fangs I bought and spread it around with a magazine directly under the shirt so it wouldn't leak through.

I let it dry before putting it on and adding more fake blood and letting it drip a bit. The wet patches looked great as a darker area!

For underneath I literally just grabbed an old singlet and smudged a heap of fake blood and dye on it. Thank you so much, i'd never done anything lke this either, and I'm more than happy to help any time! uvu

Note: for the actual meet I'm wearing it to, i've heard mixing flour and syrup/honey with red food dye makes for impressive guts, so if you want to try that, I think it'd look pretty cool! I didnt bother with it for the tester because it wouldn't have shown up on my webcam anyway lmao
