Ogon Bat or Golden Bat is not only the first superhero from Japan but is considered to be the very first superhero ever. Appearing in kamishibai (paper play) street performances as early as 1931. Back when TVs weren't as mass produced or as affordable. This incredible feat was also shared with his fellow hero Super Giant whom is said to be Japan's first superhero to have a movie.
