Where I am Attending School

I will be attending Point Park University for their capstone program with The Pittsburgh Institute of Mortuary Science. This major will be three years at Point Park, and 1 year at the Institute. I will gain a bachelor of science degree in specialized professional studies, and I could earn both a diploma in embalming and funeral services as well as an associate in specialized business degree in funeral service management.

I haven’t decided where I want to be licensed, yet. My top picks are: Washington, Oregon, California, or Maine.

A lot of the people I know, have asked me about this choice. ‘That’s so morbid’ ‘You don’t seem the type’ ‘why would you ever want to do that?’ To put it simply, funerals are for the living. And I would like to help give the descedant’s family some peace.
