pin-hole replied to your post “um….so i….might be….applying to an internship in Singapore for this...”
Oooooh!
yeahhhh!!! I mean it's with a firm that really only designs fancy hotels and shops, but SINGAPORE. one of the coolest transit systems in the world, really cool foods...etc etc. And there's a fund you can apply to for internships in Asia that might cover a good portion of the travel/living costs.
pin-hole replied to your photo:As an early Christmas present Chase got speakers...
That’s fantastic :)
We are even using them for our "TV" (read: monitor and antenna box that also you plug USB into), and the sound is so great and it's coming from *my* stereo!!

I love doing whipping cream by hand! Helps that we have nice copper bowls, though.
Me too, it's weirdly satisfying. Like, take that cream. I am the boss of you.
pin-hole replied to your post:question: good web coding resources?
What language?
Uhh like maybe some good HTML5 and CSS? With some kind of dynamic language stuff? I know PHP isn't as popular as it used to be...I feel so out of my depth these days. When I learned the little I know it was in the days of XHTML and CSS3.

Telephoto Pin-Hole
Really getting into the whole pin-hole thing recently. I had the urge to push it to the next level, so decided that a telephoto version of the tin pin hole lens was next on the agenda.
It was a simple enough task, I re-purposed toilet paper card tube, covering one end with the same foil pin-hole and the other I attached to a Canon EOS mount. Easy!
I was impressed to actually get an image when using it. I still get a blurry image as with the pin-hole before, however this gives a closer, "zoomed" , image.
Pin Hole 2.0 (Tiny Tin Can)
A tiny pin prick in some aluminium... So on reviewing the snaps I took with the with the pin hole the other day, I was thinking that It was a little disappointing that some of the photos were so blurred that it was hard to see what they were of! After discussing it with a bud, we agreed that I could help improve the image, by using a smaller pin hole, as well as using aluminium instead of card, and it would give a more solid edge to the hole. It provided big improvement on my earlier attempt with the SLR Pin Hole 1.0 (Card), the new images have a better focus, however I still cannot say the snaps are "in focus". As expected the images are much sharper and subjects take a clearer shape in each photograph. For some reason unknown to me (I am quite perplexed by this) the colour and saturation is far superior, more vivid, using aluminium rather than card, yet the camera setting have remained the same. I am really pleased with the lens improvements, but feel there in more to come...
