Extension for OpenCart shops to make it Rich Pin enabled
In a survey by Bizrate, "70% of online consumers visiting Pinterest found an item they’ve purchased ; compared to only 40% of who visit Facebook."
This makes Pinterest a formidable marketing platform for online retailers. However making an ecommerce portal Rich Pin enabled requires considerable expertise in semantic web. TransPacific Software has recently released a vQmod based extension which will make a OpenCart shop Rich Pin enabled through embedding Open Graph Tags in Product Detail page. The extension is easy to install and there is no configuration required.

Pinterest is fun -- when it works
Sometimes it doesn't work. It only recognizes my log-in from one browser -- Chrome. But that same browser doesn't see images on some pages where other browsers do. So I put the pin-it button on Firefox, which can see the image, and it still makes me log in and won't accept my log-in. So I connect to Twitter so I can sign in from Twitter. It signs me in and brings up the pin-it form. I try to pin it. It says it's pinning it. Then the form reverts to pre-pinning mode as though I did not pin, and, sure enough, when I open my browser, what I tried to pin three times still isn't there. Anyone found a way around this?
