Danica Magpantay, Charo Ronquillo, and Charlene Almarvez are just some of the beautiful Pinay models who are starting to make their presence felt in the international fashion scene. But these three women have just been given the chance of a lifetime after Levi's chose all three of them to be part of the Fall/Winter Collection preview in New York.
Danica Magpantay--the first Filipina who bagged the Ford Supermodel of the World title in January--says, "Ito 'yung first time naming tatlong mag-work. Si Chat I’ve been with her in some presentations and some shows which is fun kasi makikita mo talaga na certain designers really like our look and hindi mahirap na makapasok ang Filipino ngayon. Ngayon tatlo kami. It’s Levi’s, it's big (This is the first time all three of us will work together, I've worked with Chat [Charlene] in some presentations and some shows--which is fun because then you get to see that certain designers really like our look and it's not so difficult for Filipino [models] to get into the [fashion] industry now. Now it's the three of us)!"
Meanwhile Charo Ronquillo, who has been gracing catwalks all over the world since claiming the second runner-up spot in the Ford Supermodel of the World contest in 2005 could not contain her excitement. In a report from ABS-CBNNews.com she says, "Sobrang na-surprise kaming tatlo, as in, 'Na-gets mo? Na-gets mo? Na-gets mo?' 'Yeah, na-gets ko! Go!' Then nagkita-kita po kami ng call time as in ang saya-saya namin. Hug kami (All of us were so surprised. We kept asking each other if we were in [the show], and we were all 'yeah!' We met up and we were so happy that we hugged each other).
