I checked out the Allentown Pinfest Pinball Show at the Allentown Fairgrounds on Saturday, May 7th, 2022. I didn’t know this existed until this popped up on my Facebook Sponsored events. It was more of a convention than a pinball gaming, but for $20 per adult and $10 for children, they had tables available to play for free. As long as you can get to them, and they were working. Pinball can seem like a dying gaming format, but it’s still going reasonably strong. I don’t see a resurgence, but it’s still fun to play, and companies still make new games and themed tables. I got to see and try some new games available, like Ultraman, Rick and Morty, and even a Godzilla machine. One I wanted to play but couldn’t was a pinball machine based on the band Rush, and some games were easier to get to than others, and I wasn’t waiting in line to play.
