For blessing waters that I use as offerings, it gets taken within 24 hours to the offering spot, which is a moving water source, like the Sea or the creek, so the organic matter going bad isn’t an issue since it’s being offered right away. Anything that I want to keep for a longer period of time will need to be preserved with Everclear or Vodka to prevent it from going bad and those I keep only on my altar. A number of water that have high organic content that I collect will have Everclear or Vodka added as well or else it will mold within the bottle itself (it’s happened to me a number of times before I started doing this, also some of them will smell really awful).
