Lillian Ruth Zhao was born to Michael and Mei Zhao on March 21, 1983, in Chicago, Illinois. It was just the three of them, but the small family was perfect in the eyes of Lily. They were well off, and she never seemed to have to worry about a thing. 

Though her parents tended just to leave it to the nanny, Jenifer, to raise Lily, her parents spoiled her with anything she could have wanted. She was treated like a little princess, and her nanny was pretty much her best friend.

As Lily grew into a teenager, she was able to take care of her self and her parents let This simple action broke the teen girl. Jenifer had been the only parental figure she had ever known. 

Without any nannies or sitters, it quickly became clear to Lily her parents spoiled her to buy her love. They never actually wanted to raise and have a relationship with their child. So, the girl gave up trying to force a relationship. 

Instead, she put her energy into the things that brought her joy. This is when she found her love of medicine. She knew she had to be a doctor. There were no other options for her. So, that is precisely what Lily did. She went through high school with straight A’s, moved to Duke University for undergrad, studied biochemistry with ease, and went through medical school at John Hopkins. 

During medical school, she met Ethan and fell completely head over heels in love with him. He understood her and cared for her in a way she had never experienced. They dated all through medical school and were married right after matching him in a Surgical residency program and her in the psychiatry program in the same hospital. They were the picture-perfect couple, or so it seemed on the outside.

Behind the walls, it was a very different story. The stress of the surgical career and failed attempts to have a child weighed on the couple. Lily wanted nothing more than to be a mother and be the opposite of her own mother, but they could not get pregnant no matter what they tried. The once picture-perfect couple was in shambles and falling out of love. One year ago, Lily could no longer take the stress of being in a loveless marriage and filed for divorce. She packed up her things and found a job in Pine River.

 Weston’s parents didn’t have a lot, but they loved him more than anything and would do whatever was needed to keep him happy & healthy.

(fire tw & parental death tw & burn/scar tw)They kept this up until at the age of five years old the family’s apartment broke out in fire due to faulty wiring.  Weston made it out with only a burn on both his back and the back of his right arm, but his parents had to be transferred to the hospital where they eventually died due to complications of the fire.

Weston was devastated and was sent away from his only known home to live with his Aunt Nancy in Pine River. His aunt lived next door to the Whitfield family who had a daughter his age, Cassidy, and she quickly became his best friend. Soon after meeting her Weston started to return to his normal self and begged his aunt to start signing him up for sports which she happily did.

As he went through high school in Pine River, he continued to show an excellence in sports. He ran both cross country and track field and was able to be put on Varsity from day one. He loved the sports and did everything he could to keep excelling in them. Through high school he was able to hold both school and state records for his best races.  His talents lead him to be scouted for college and ended up obtaining an almost full ride offer from USC if ran cross country and track there.

Weston finished his secondary education degree at USC, he made the decision he wanted to come back to Pine River. The high school hired him as both a Math Teacher and to be the Cross Country and Distance track coach. He was ecstatic for this next chapter of his life and moved back to the town he knew to be home.

Today, no one would ever guess what had happened to him as child. The only indication that something happened to him is the scar from the burn to his back and arm. Though, scars are there he is insecure about them and doesn’t talk about where they came from unless he is very close to the person.

he is this super kind and bubbly ray of sunshine. he loves being around people and helping others when they are in need. he just has a huge heart. especially when it comes to his students/ athletes. he will rearrange his entire schedule to give someone extra help if they need it.

but he does tend to hold grudges if you hurt him or someone he cares about. his trust is easy to gain but it is also easy to loose. & once you loose it you may never get it back

Bio: Being the only child, Quinton was circled by sex, drugs, and rock ‘n’ roll. His eyes definitely seen some disturbing moments, and his innocence was surely questionable. Growing up in a small home located in the heart of Las Vegas, Nevada, Quinton learned to ignore his parents fiasco with the whole ‘what happens in Vegas, stays in Vegas’ considering all the illegal and unethical activities they participated in. 

As a young boy, Quinton was an A+ honor roll student. Students often teased him for his intellectual life skills, his knowledge on certain aspects of life, and the fact he was a teacher’s pet - not even the girl’s gave him a chance. Quinton had one best friend, and even then that was questionable. When he wasn’t in school pissing off students who refused to learn on their own, he was at home, playing video games online with his internet buddies. 

Quinton’s parents would be argumentative with each other about Quinton; he wasn’t like them and it bothered them to the T. They hoped he would be a partier and not a nerd stuck on a virtual simulation system. 

He didn’t care what they had to say - gaming with his buddies is what kept him alive. 

Quinton and his buddy James would play games together endlessly online for hours. They would talk about everything and everything, and there would be no judgment. James had some issues going on at home, and it had got to the point where James would sideswipe Quinton. They got into an argument before the tragedy, and what killed Quinton the most is the fact that his last words to his best friend James was, ‘I hate you.’ 

James committed suicide hours later — turned out James had been battling with depression, and his abusive parents only added fuel to the fire. This was when Quinton realized that words are precious, and you never know when those words will be the last. After viewing his friend's funeral over video chat, Quinton paid his respects. 

After graduating high school, Quinton went on to college to become a therapist to prevent tragedies like what happened with James. His goal was to give people a reason to try; a reason to fight their demons. His family laughed in his face until he returned home with a PhD - he would finally achieve becoming a licensed therapist. Currently residing in Pine River, Virginia at 34, with his German Shepherd named Bear - he was living his best life and has been for two years.

Christian grew up in Port Orange, Florida with a silver spoon in his mouth.  He is the oldest of the four Nelson boys, and the most professionally and traditionally successful on paper.  He likes to think that he makes his parents proud, but honestly?  He isn’t quite sure.  Christian’s father was a wealthy hotel owner in the area, and served on the Board of Directors for Daytona International Speedway.  His mother stayed at home raising her four sons and did charity work for numerous organizations.  There was a lot of love in the Nelson household growing up.  

Christian kept his head down and studied hard during high school.  He knew he wanted to be an attorney.  During his high school years, Christian was captain of the debate team, and rarely got invited to parties.  One night though, his next door neighbor, Vivian, invited him to a party at one of the VIP suites at the Speedway.  Somehow, Christian feel in love that night.  Vivian enjoyed that Christian was into her even though she knew the relationship would never go anywhere.  She led him on throughout their junior and senior year, ensuring she graduated on time with his help with her assignments.  It was graduation day when Christian uncovered that Vivian had been playing him.  He was absolutely devastated because he had pictured an entire life for them.  It was a long summer, and ultimately, he decided to take a gap year to get his head together before heading off to college at the University of Central Florida.  

During Christian’s junior year, he met Victoria Quinn.  Victoria was the best friend that Christian had always been too nerdy to have, and she made an excellent wingman when they would go out together.  Christian admired Victoria for the way she was able to speak her mind, and how she didn’t take crap from anyone.  She had ambitious goals, and he didn’t mind helping propel her in that direction where he could.  Christian is the only person allowed to call Victoria Tory, which he loved doing.  Without meaning too, Christian fell absolutely in love with Victoria, but he just knew she was out of his league so he never said anything before he moved onto Harvard Law.  

Christian absolutely loved Boston.  He loved the people, the seasons, and so after finishing law school, he decided to stay in the area.  While working towards partner at his first firm in Boston, he met Vanessa Marshall, a paralegal at the firm.  Christian and Vanessa fell in love, quickly.  They were moved in together within eight months.  Somehow though, it didn’t work out, and that became clear when Christian found Vanessa in his bed with another partner from their firm.  He quickly packed a bag and moved onto the next town.  

That was five years ago.  Christian hasn’t gotten serious with anyone since.  Instead, he took some time to travel.  One of the places he visited was Pine River, VA.  He fell in love with the small town feel, and the people.  Ultimately, this was where we decided to settle, purchasing a home and changing gears in his career.  Christian now works with the business owners of Wheat Hill and anyone in town really to support their legal needs for their businesses.  

Eight months ago, Christian was attending a legal conference in New York City.  That’s when he saw the familiar blonde across the conference hall.  Christian and Victoria enjoyed a few drinks at the bar before heading up to her hotel room.  Honestly, Christian wasn’t exactly pleased with himself when Tory’s martial status was revealed, but there wasn’t much he could do.  

Since Tory arrived, Christian has no idea what this means for them.  He’s trying not to make it a big deal because Victoria has a lot on her plate, and he doesn’t want to contribute to that.  Plus, nothing ever works out for him.

Darius James Green was the third child and second son of Stella and Edward Green.  Darius can remember sitting in Stella’s lap in the rocking chair on their front porch while she read books to her children.  Darius loved books from a young age, and always enjoyed the frequent trips to the library.  He never realized any of the struggles his parents faced because Stella and Edward always ensured things were fun for their children.  The Green children didn’t need to know how cruel life could be in due to their financial status.  Stella stayed home with her three young children, and Edward worked long hours as a bartender on Wheat Hill.  

Darius knew his father worked hard, and his mother worked hard to ensure their home was beautiful and a safe space for each of her children.  He kept his nose in a book because he never enjoyed being in trouble plus he didn’t seem to fit in with the other boys or his brother.  He wasn’t athletic.  He wasn’t charming.  He was awkward and well read.  Other kids his age were not interested in the same things Darius was, and the young boy always accepted he would be different.  

Then, Jada joined the family.  An unexpected blessing is what Stella would always call her youngest daughter.  Everyone thought Darius would struggle with no longer being the youngest, but in fact….he loved it.  He would sit by Jada’s bassinet and read to her after school, gently stroking her hand as he flipped the page.  With the new addition came a new job opportunity for Edward.  He became the hospitality manager at the Grape Escape on Wheat Hill.  It was a wonderful opportunity for Edward and the family because now Stella and Edward KNEW they would be able to help their four children achieve their dreams.  

Throughout high school, Darius’ nose remained in a book, and he began tutoring his fellow students for the SAT.  It was something he excelled at, and people appreciated his talent there.  He began crafting his own ideas for a book and taping them into a notebook so he would have all his scrap pieces of paper when he was ready.  But during this time, Darius was called to the office at school where his grandmother was waiting.  Her face was tear stained and she was clutching a handkerchief.  The words, “Your father died,” would be the ones to echo in his head for years to come.  The Green Family was forever changed that day.  

Darius stopped writing down his ideas while deep in his grief.  The stories and make believe worlds suddenly didn’t seem so important.  Neither did reading.  He went to school and picked up more tutoring hours so his salary could help Stella with the household expenses.  Although she never asked her son to do this.  He wanted to ensure his mother was taken care of, and didn’t have to worry about a thing.  After all, Stella had lost the man who she had spent her entire life.  Darius watched in amazement as his mother turned that love into a Bed and Breakfast, something she said had always been her dream.  Her and Edward had just been waiting for “the right time.”  Stella tried to instill in her children that life wasn’t about watching for the right time though.  They needed to seize every opportunity they had because they never knew what the future would hold.  This was hard for Darius because he wanted to plot out each point in his life, and know exactly where he was going at any given moment.  There always needed to be a plan.  

George Mason was not the school Darius would have picked for himself.  It just wasn’t where he saw himself walking the halls for four years, but when George Mason offered him a full scholarship?  He couldn’t turn it down.  It meant Stella wouldn’t have to worry about covering the costs of his education.  George Mason is where Darius laid eyes on the love of his life.  Tosha.  It was like fate or something because time stood still in that moment.  It was a feeling Darius had only read about, and from that moment on?  He did everything in his power to get her attention.  

Eventually, Darius and Tosha ended up together, and married soon after college.  They settled down in Pine River so Darius could be close to his family.  Darius teaches English at the local high school and still tutors for the SAT.  Additionally, he hosts poetry slams at the Green Bed and Breakfast.  He still scribbles ideas on random pieces of paper and adds them to his notebook, thinking that one day he will write a book.  Tosha and Darius have been trying for years to start their own family, but have been unsuccessful.
