For the last 26 years my Pookie has been there for me through thick and thin. I've been an absolute pest, and my sisters and I have driven him and my poor mother up the wall on more than one occasion. But, come hell or high water, I know he is always there with a kind word, a cupboard door for ping pong or growing a beard for the first time while I looked like a troll, ready to fight for his girls.
