The Breaking Wheel (M| 93k words) by J_Baillier. Sherlock gets the Guillain-Barré Syndrome. John will be there to help him through it. A stressful, beautiful slow burn with a sequel! yay!
Electric Pink Hand Grenade (E | 67k words) by BeautifulFiction. A fandom classic. Sick!fic, Sherlock starts feeling a bit not good while on a case. It will only get worse. This fic is SO stressful but so adorable and cute :3
A Ritual to Read to Each Other (E|101k words) by weeesi. Post-HLV. Not terribly hurt, but Sherlock and John get injured and there’s a super cute and sweet scene of the hospital, also some pining from Sherlock, a personal favorite!!!!

This ANGSTY HELL of a fic begins just after TSOT and follows through the discovery that Mary is a villain (and may I say one hell of a villain!) and the aftermath of that. Sherlock will have to recover from so many, so difficult blows, including John’s absence. (Temporary absence!), personal favorite!!!!
Trying to Find The In-Between (E | 75k words) by NoStraightLine. An apparent dfp Sherlock comes back from the death, taking his relationship with John for granted. Plot twist: Sherlock is actually a cinnamon roll that pines over John’s absence. A personal favorite!
Facing The Inevitable (E | 65k words) by LollipopCop. Set post-TAB, Mary has the child, John is still with her, and Sherlock tries to wrap his mind around what’s coming for them. Lots of Pining!lock!!!
Love Ballads for the Nonbelievers (T | 153k words) by siennna. Post-TRF, Sherlock comes back from the death to find an engaged John, who had already rebuilt his life with Mary and looks completely pleased with his new domesticity, and completely in love with her. (Is he???)
