Life works in funny ways some times. I found this quote at an art installation in my neighborhood, just as I got home after spending a Saturday evening filled with fun and visibility with the people I call my family. These people you see here? They are invisible to some sections of society, primarily because of what they identify as sexualy or who they love. Do you want to know how I feel? Mad, disgusted, guilty. I'm mad that these people are treated unfairly. I'm disgusted that people judge them on the basis of being queer, nothing else. I'm guilty that I never went to a Pink Dot prior to 2018. 2 Pink Dots have come and passed. I've had fun being in the company of fellow Singaporeans, celebrating the TRUE meaning of inclusiveness. As much as I am posting this on July 1st, the end of Pride month, it is a fight that I will not stop backing until it is done, when Section 377A of the Penal Code is history and LGBTQ+ Singaporeans are given the respect and dignity they deserve. Only then are we truly One United People #PinkDotSG #PinkDot11 #TearDownThisLaw #Repeal377A #QOTD #Pride #PinkDot (at Hong Lim Park) https://www.instagram.com/p/BzWo0oKAjD3/?igshid=19yg4nc1tmncx
