Headcanon meme thing for Zsasz, based on nothing but what you’ve osmosis learned about him from me???

realistic: he has a great immune system, which is how he hasn’t died of massive infection despite years of near-constant open wounds and squalid living conditions.

unrealistic but funny: the stray animals of gotham have taken quite a liking to him, and he regularly has at least one cat following him around. this has led to several cordial conversations with catwoman. he decides not to kill her because she has been feeding the stray cats longer than zsasz has been killing, and he has no desire to let them starve.

heartbreaking: the old victor is indeed still in there, and every once in awhile, he resurfaces just long enough to comprehend the depths to which he has fallen.

rejecting canon reality to substitute my own: i mean the cat thing probably counts, but i also have a secret headcanon that victor zsasz paints when he’s not murdering people, and his anonymous works have attracted a minor following among gotham’s art world. he drops off completed works at the nearest public building (usually a library or community center), where they are quickly snapped up by collectors.

I adore him but it is simply a fact that (hand washing instructions below excepted) he gives very bad advice. Also I’ve seen him do a terrible, terrible rap, and no one who has witnessed that can hold trust in their heart for him ever again.
