“Oh, hi. I didn’t see you there.”
Connie had mostly been looking at the group of older kids across the room, who seemed not to be dressed up and had also appeared to be the only others present. It had left Connie, in her Lisa costume, feeling rather out of place; at least until she’d heard the voice behind her.
Parties like this, admittedly, weren’t usually Connie’s scene. She’d been getting a lot bolder ever since Steven had become a part of her life, however; and so when she’d heard of a local Halloween party that was supposed to be a big deal, Connie had decided to venture along, even if it meant going on her own.
Still, she was glad that she wasn’t left to be on her own for too long. Her companion might be a little on the young side, but Connie wasn’t objecting to that.
“Thanks! I like yours, too. Though... I’m sorry, I’m not sure who you’re dressed as.”
Then again, what were the chances that Blossom would recognise who her own outfit was meant to be? They were probably in much the same situation here.
