affection asks / accepting

Affection

Lotor is extremely affectionate. When he cares about someone ( particularly romantically ) they will know*. He’s very physically affectionate in that he likes to touch, but he’ll also talk romantically and basically he’s a huge sap. 

*Unless he fears it’s unreciprocated, or they’re in a situation where he fears his affection could be used against him.

Breath

Honestly, any affection reciprocated will take his breathe away. He’s not used to any form of praise and definitely not physical affection. His partner initiating anything will make his brain shut off, and especially declarations of love ( verbal or nonverbal ) because he has no idea how to react. 

Marriage

He’s not opposed to the idea, but he’s honestly never really considered it. Marriage is not a priority in Galra culture, and it’s certainly not a personal priority. He won’t propose, but again, he’s not avidly against the idea.

X-Ray

How he would react if his s/o got hurt would depend on how badly. If it’s mild, he’ll probably scoff and tease and not really worry. If it’s severe, then he’ll get incredibly protective. His Galra side will come out more in that he’ll be extremely focused and almost animalistic in protecting them.

The work was tedious, mind numbing, and exhilarating all in one. The nuances were beyond him - as he was severely lacking in the alchemy portions, but he could assist in designs. Engineering. Structure. 

Still, the plans swam before his head, a headache pounding at his temples. He sighed, rubbing the bridge of his nose before standing. Allura was tinkering with the ship, shoulders hunched lip pulled between her teeth - as she did when was focused. 

She had been muttering for what felt like eternity, and he had long since stopped replying. It wasn’t as if she noticed, which only made a light smile tug at his lips. A few stray hairs were falling from her bun, draping over her shoulders, but that didn’t hide the tenseness. The lines beneath her eyes. 

She needed break as much as he did. 

“I think we should take a break,” he mused, shattering the silence. 

Not that she noticed. 

Allura continued fussing, muttering to herself as she tinkered and not even flinching at his words. 

Lotor chuckled, tilting his head as he took a few steps closer. 

“Allura?” he tried again but to no avail. “...Allura...”

She was so enraptured, her eyes alight with discovery and voice pitched low in hushed concentration. He hated to break it - but then again, he really didn’t. 

Lotor stepped behind her, his chest brushing the back of her head as he gently placed hand on each of her upper arms. He stooped down lower to her ear and felt stray strands of hair tickle his nose. 

“Allura,” he whispered softly. “Let’s take a break.”

      Tired, Keith let out a sigh. He was struggling to remember the last time he didn’t feel so exhausted. It was a struggle to stay awake, and yet, when the opportunity for sleep arose, he couldn’t stop his mind from racing.       He was barely listening to whatever Coran was blabbering on about to him and the others, when he absentmindedly rested his head on Allura’s shoulder, his eyes drooping, sleepily.

“You again.”

He didn’t need to look up to sense her presence - didn’t even hear her footsteps. Of course he didn’t, she was always silent, but he knew she was there nonetheless.

His eyes closed even as he tensed his shoulders, his chest, his legs. An attempt to look slightly less pathetic on the cot he was chained to. Both literally and metaphorically. There was a cuff on his right wrist, but he suspected he would be pinned in place even if it wasn’t. 

The Galra were experts in keeping prisoners, and right now, that is exactly what he was. He suspected he was not alone, however, since Allura was draped in rags. Hardly befitting a princess. 

“I see the witch didn’t take to kindly to your abandoning me.”
