Pippa’s new look!  I love her with a wink.  She went from looking like a bubblehead to smart and playful. 

The eyes:  I removed her right eye because I thought it’d be cuter to have the wink on the same side as the victory sign.  The dark lines on her original paint are dark teal, not black, so I had to mix the color.

The hair:  I combed it out, curled it around plastic straws, and poured boiling water over it. I’d like her to look more like her box art, so I might do it over again with thin sticks instead.

Is there a Shoppie for every Lalaloopsy yet? Here are Pippa Melon and Water Mellie Seeds. I like the halter dress on Pippa, sort of rockabilly/pin-up. I have one in pink and white myself. I hated when Lalas started having plastic tops. It is a downgrade from their fully removable clothing, but since Shoppies started out that way I can’t really complain. How hard is it to make a full dress though?

Another thing these toys have in common is the way the big dolls look different from the minis. This particular Lalaloopsy is fairly similar though. You can tell it’s obviously the same doll despite minor changes, but the Shoppie looks totally different. Her hair’s not even the same color. What’s that about?
