Dear Captain, is it true that you really don't wear pants? Or is it one of Varric's exaggerations? Do you feel cold at winter if you don't wear pants? Also have you tried on that pajama Hawke seems really proud of? Is it really at comfy as it looks?
I don't like wearing pants, my darling. They feel restrictive and uncomfortable to me, much like how I imagine how shoes must feel to elves, neckties must feel to noblemen, or dresses must feel to Aveline. It just feels foreign against my skin, and doesn't play properly with my boots. I do love those boots, too.
As for the winters... do I feel cold without pants? It's never really been a tremendous problem for me. I've traditionally spent my winters before coming to Kirkwall nearer to Antiva, where it's much warmer. When I have been tasked with jobs or capers in colder climes during the winter, I tend to wear what most others will wear - a long, heavy hooded cloak about my neck and shoulders that reach down to nearly my ankles. In the better times, when I have the coin to spare, I'll get a fur-lined cloak. The cloak is usually enough to wrap around the body and keep the warmth in. My boots provide enough insulation about my legs to keep the chill out, though I am not a big enjoyer of the snow. It always annoys me to no end when I get snow inside my footwear.
As for Hawke's pajamas, I do like them. They truly are quite comfortable! The outfit is made from imported Orlesian silk and it is a wonder to the touch. They are a bit fragile, however - I've been scolded for tearing them a bit during some of our more heated exchanges. Because of this, I would have to say that I like them best when they are on the floor by the bed.
