LOL And there go people saying MeenahXVriska might have been platonic or pale. Am I going to count this as my first successful prediction? Yes. Yes I am. PS oh, and also there go people thinking that was the last we'd seen of Vriska for the remainder of the story. Sorry guys, seems like the spidertroll is going to be sticking around for a while :::;)

Vriska and Meenah are not in palerom!

Moirallegiance is about two partners being different, complementing each other's strengths and weaknesses. The more opposite the pair is, the more likely it is their close affectionate relationship will lean pale. (Moirail zone haha) (poor Kanaya with Vriska, she didn't have a chance) Meenah and Aranea could absolutely be pale - they are opposites in many ways. Apart from things Meenah and Vriska discussed, Meenah cares deeply about her friends while Aranea couldn't give half a fuck about anyone but herself; Meenah prefers to charge in without thinking while Aranea thinks everything through (not that she's good at it); Meenah is a girl of action and personal forking while Aranea is more about staying in the back and directing events. Meenah and Vriska, meanwhile, are very similar! They both care, they are both action girls... of course, there are lots of differences, but right now the dynamic between them is not focused on those. Instead of offering an opposing point of view, they cater to each other. Moirallegiance is, in a way, a negative feedback loop: the harder one partner pushes in an undesirable direction, the harder the other pushes back. Vriska and Meenah have a positive feedback loop, dragging each other deeper! They might be leaning flushed at the moment, sure. "If you are lucky", oh my god. But not pale. Definitely not pale.

I am very sad to see her this way. Of course, I saw this coming after her last convo with Meenah, and long-term it signifies good things in her development, but it's still horrible to see her at what I'd call her rock bottom )= zenos pointed out something I didn't catch - that her agreement to getting a tattoo is somewhat similar to Terezi getting her eyes healed. I didn't catch it because my opinion on tattoos actually changed in p much exactly the same way - from "why would you do this to your body" to "I wouldn't actually mind getting one myself if I come up with something I really want". But this isn't what's happening with Vriska here; she's not even picking the tattoo theme herself, leaving it to Meenah instead. (also holy shit, Vriska is similar to me in a lot of details of her character. Those details that are 90% of the time overlooked when people cast her as a stereotype / notably different au version instead of her full real self: her love for roleplaying, her drawing, her general nerdiness, her commitment to fashion not as big as Kanaya's but still with makeup and specific taste in outfits distinct from general trollish "whatever"; and now her opinion on tattoos) I really hope that whatever is in that tattoo parlor - I like the version that Kurloz is there, and that this is his land - will shake them up a bit and give them some motivation. The dynamic between the two right now seems to be one of positive feedback loop - whatever one of them expresses, the other mirrors and adds on to, thus any sentiment ends up exaggerated. It's more pronounced from Meenah to Vriska - Meenah is the one who "corrects" Vriska, while Vriska agrees with her, but I think that if Vriska gets herself back together she'll be able to turn it around. Right now they are bringing themselves down in this manner, but if one of them gets fired up instead, I'm pretty sure they can pump themselves up to anything.
