The Cove refers to both Mermaid Cove and Pirate Cove. They are one and the same.

Pirates and mermaids have had an alliance for decades.

Similar to the spaceship, the Ghost (pirate ship) is unnaturally fast due to its unique hull construction. It's modeled after the HMS Speedy, which is well known for taking down a massive navy ship with only a tiny crew and deceit.

Zeb and the crew's designs are from my other au, In Pursuit of Honour. So I guess this is technically an au of that?
