#Repost @geneses_tempeh ・・・ IT IS A MARVELLOUS THING ...... TO SPOT A PIRATE KID (Apologies to the lyrics of the musical the Pirates of Penzance). In the far reaches of one of MELBOURNE’S most iconic laneways, I discovered this very cute PIRATE KID PASTE-UP hidden amongst a myriad of paint-splattered graffiti, streetart and interesting, rather dull, spot lighting. To me, the whole place looked like a film set for the sci-fi classic Blade Runner or at least a Melburnian version of that iconic film. As you can see from my photos, this particular LANEWAY was quite eerie and even spooky at night. I expected a menacing Freddy Krueger or a masked and long-deceased Jason from Friday The 13TH film franchise to make an terrifying appearaance at every turn of the laneway. But your intrepid streetart photographer pressed on & was thrilled by the experience. Does anyone happen to know the artist responsible for this swash-buckling Pirate Kid paste-up streetart?
