I’m receiving a vision... I see a lot of tourist dollars for the Japanese government, and a lot of cosplayers in attush and matanpushi. The world where the quality of life, health, education, opportunity, and cultural growth and momentum is changed overnight through the power of art is a beautiful dream. But it’s not the world we live in right now. So mostly, I’m just tired.

Hey thanks for reblogging! So many people now look at what amounts to me taking cell phone pictures of my collection, and editing out my fingers but not quite getting good lighting. Senpais noticed me! As for Shinya's hair, know how I said I have the same hair cut? Well I air dried it today, parted it down the side and floofed it a bit. Yep, lopsided and pretty damn close to the pic. I wish I was as pretty. And it's not even a glare! The hardcopy shows an object of some sort.

I am wondering if the Olympics change anything (the topic of the link), I live here and all the "changes for the Olympics" amount to...easier signs to read. I doubt the language schools will happen. I hope so though

It would be nice, but just look at the Abe government rn and ask yourself if they give half a shit about Indigenous issues? That’s not even on the list, they got bigger minorities to fry, lmao. Honestly, I’m much more interested in what grassroots movements are happening outside of the Ainu Association of Hokkaido, and even or especially outside of Hokkaido. Japan controls the Ainu narrative, and is the gatekeeper of “authenticity,” and we all know that’s bullshit. So I want to see how our culture is growing and evolving outside the script. What are the Tokyo folks doing? What are contemporary artists doing? Ainu diaspora? The Ainu itak radio programme is awesome, and that’s the kind of stuff that’s way more helpful than a tourist spectacle. Don’t get me wrong, I’m glad some money’s getting thrown at the Shiraoi museum (my family’s home village). But real growth has to happen outside of the government’s permission and timetable.

oh I must say, I really liked those last clips, the live of Ermal playing the piano (is he saying "solely for money" in English because that's what it sounded like) and Libero for Fabrizio.

Gurl yesterday it was a Blast, they both had a concert, Fab in Naples (he just sang a couple of songs tho, it was more an event than a concert) and Ermal in Tirana and they both did great.

Ermal says “da soli fa male” which means “it’s painful dealing with it alone) The song is called Mi salvi chi può and it is really emotional.

Libero is, along with Pensa, Fabrizio signature song. He’s so powerful when he sings it!
