second of all !!! i just !!! love !!! for character archetypes, i love ones that are either really good, or really evil, it's kinda just captured by the fact that i write a villain in adella and a hero-knight in phillip @travmsoldat.
for heroes, i love the 'my knight you have to live you have to get up you have to put your hand over your wound and hold it there. you have to keep walking and walking and walking because you cannot lay down yet, it’s not time. wipe the blood off your breastplate and look up into the sun. lean on your sword if you need to. lift one foot after another. get up. get up. this would be a pitiful grave.' chefs kiss. fight until your very last breath for the good of the world. that's why i write phillip.
and for villains, i just love to explore really dark themes and taboos bc i feel like that's one of the best ways to explore morality. and i think, also, the fact that i like both means i just really like characters who are very strong-willed and principled (whatever those principles are).
i like to play pretty dominant, intense, extreme characters, so i guess that also means that's what i'm drawn to (and by contrast, characters that are super different from that so it's fun to play off). i like characters that push boundaries, say things other ppl won't say, do things ppl won't do, whether in a good way or bad way.
so if i had to summarize: intelligent, disarming, charming, "pushy", strong-willed, dominant
