"Lovise! I should have realized that you would be here. Are you having a good holiday?"

“Huh?” Lovise looked up, surprised and slightly confused. She looked at the other Mer and shrugged. “I mean I kinda live here so…” Lovise slightly furrowed her brows. Normally people didn’t come down to the beach during Pirrelvag, apart from Astrid who made a point out of visiting Lovise despite knowing the other wasn’t that excited over the holidays at all. She also wasn’t sure how to answer the question. “Well…uh…I guess?”

"Fancy seeing you here... alone... Wendy, are your brothers around this festival?"

Wendy looked up from the bench she was sitting on and nodded slowly. “Well…I guess they are here somewhere.” She wrapped her arms around herself since it was freezing cold and she had been looking for her brothers some time now. Couldn’t they have choosen a warmer day, even her hair was freezing up. “There are so many people here that are taller than me that I lost track of them both…”
