9. My dream job. I'm going to college soon for journalism (a bit of a late start) and my ultimate goal through that is to write about social justice/equality, and spread as much positive word as I'm capable of through that.

26. Best thing that's ever happened to me. It's hard to say. I don't know if there was any particular event or anything that was substantial enough to consider the best thing. So at the risk of sounding generic, really I'd have to say every negative thing that I've gone through in my life, that I've come out of with a lesson learned. Those periods of time were really what has molded my life for the better, more than anything else.

32. Favorite show. It always changes from show to show that I start watching through. My current favorite is probably Broad City. I'd have to say Tim & Eric's Awesome Show Great Job and Tom Goes To the Mayor are my longest running favorites though.

2: Favorite Singer. It’s a tossup. Always is, haha. Conor Oberst (Bright Eyes, Desaparecidos, etc), Tim Kasher (Cursive, The Good Life), Frances Quinlan (Hop Along), Elizabeth Powell (Land of Talk), MC Ride, Bjork, Ian Metzger (Dear and the Headlights), Aaron Weiss (mewithoutYou), Richard Edwards (Margot & the Nuclear So & So’s). I’m sure there’s more. It’s just those really captivating and unique voices that get me.

3: Favorite Guitarist. Probably Meredith Godreau (Gregory & the Hawk). I play a classical acoustic guitar and most of the finger-picking style that I picked up when I was younger was inspired by her playing.

4: Favorite Bassist. Probably Nicole Estill from True Widow. That melancholic sludge rhythm is what’s up. Joe from Code Orange is dope too.

5: Favorite Drummer. Thomas Pridgen’s sick. And Nathan Wilder from The Appleseed Cast. Particularly the drum work on the Illumination Ritual album.

26: Favorite song which lasts more than 10 minutes. To be honest, I’d say Rutti by Slowdive and The Pecan Tree by Deafheaven. And I.N.O. by True Widow, though the song fizzles out into various noise just shy of the 10 minute mark, for another 5 minutes.

15: Shit, it was hard to think of a good one for this. I don’t listen to too many covers, at least I don’t think. I listen to way too much shit. But then I remembered, there’s this funny dude from twitter who did 3 shoegaze covers of Sugar Ray songs. You can find it if you just google Shoegaze Ray, haha.

18: A song from the year I was born. 1990. Enjoy the Silence by Depeche Mode. Haha, when I was little, we had some really cool goth neighbors across the street from me who always blasted Depeche Mode all day on their porch. My grandparents would always complain “There go the vampires again, blaring that Douche Mold”. Golden memory.

19: A song that makes me think about life. I dunno what it is in particular, but the songs 1916 and Eleanor by Cake Bake Betty strike me a certain way. I think it’s just the vibe and her lyrical content. Really obscure artist, mostly just melancholy piano-based stuff with this really cool attitude. I suggest checking the songs out just so you know what I mean. A verse in particular from 1916 that gets me:

30: A song that reminds me of myself. Shit. I’d have to say Blue Lily by The Depreciation Guild. Just because it brings back a lot of old thoughts and memories from when I was listening to that song and that band obsessively. Hearing it just reminds me of my old self from years ago. Very ex post facto. Not to mention I have never succeeded in getting anyone into that band, so it feels very exclusive to me.

4: My top 5 albums at the moment. Lately as far as albums I've been playing through a lot on my itunes goes, I'd have to say:

20: A band I used to love but I'm embarrassed about now. Dude, when I was like 14-15, I had a pretty bad From First to Last phase. Sonny Moore era. Like I was really into Dear Diary, My Teen Angst Has A Body Count. I was scene and my girlfriend at the time was scene and she could play the drum part for Note to Self and I thought we were like the shit. It was fucked up.

pisschristmas Shiiit. This one's pretty difficult because I can never put one over the other. But my most long-standing favorites are Cursive, True Widow, My Bloody Valentine, Bright Eyes, Pedro the Lion, The Appleseed Cast, and Codeine. I like a lot of shit though.
