To be tender yet bedridden.
Worse off, reminded
Safety was only an illusion.

And toil the polluted land
Day by day, building immunity
And calling it a lesson in trust.

Day 26: Loving
Patient tender of flowers.

Day 20: Rejected
My new friends (and falling outs)
Came to Portland by 200 year old roads.
We brought frail hopes and problems
Too big for us to solve at home.
Bridges make circuits,
they melt in the heat.
And we are caught between.
