You're not alone. I, too, say "pee-can" and I'm a GA native.

ye s, goooodddd. Apparently it’s a little more common in GA to say “pee-can” than it is in other southern states ??

I still feel as if the world is coming down around me though because literally all my life my family would be like ‘pee-kohn’ is for yankees’. Like this is what was discussed whenever there was a pecan in the room or when were talking about the farms around the area. No matter what, someone had to bring up the correct way to say it and now I’m having an identity crisis because what is the truth??

I didn’t know that. I knew you sang but I didn’t know about the classical training.

Heheheh yep! I haven't done it in about 4 years the training so I'm a little rusty but I was section leader for altos and got all those lower register songs since not many girls can hit 'em notes 

but then that has resulted in me being most comfortable singing low register songs yelp
