TUMBLR UNSHADOWBAN ME RIGHT NOW!!!! LET PEOPLE SEE MY POSTS GRRRR
I'm listening to my NY Rangers via my phone because my stupid cable company and MSG Network are mad at each other and as a result, I've not been able to watch more than a handful of games over the last TWO seasons... this is such bullshit.
I would like to slap Comcast for sucking so much.
as you were
There are days I feel like screaming and today is one of them.
A little bit of background first. Both my brother and I still live at home for reduced rent although this rent is exactly the same price. This is annoying but I can live with it even if he does earn more than a third more than me a month. As I said it's irritating, it's unfair but the rent is still less than what I'd pay in the private sector.
On we go to today. Mum and Dad took the dog to the vets today for tests as she's been aggravating her skin again. She has allergies and we think this is just a flare up but better to be safe than sorry. After Mum goes to bed Dad picks up the receipt and goes "I need X off both of you at the end of the month" this is because HE fucked up his bank accounts and lost the interest on them so he wants us to pick up the bill. Now the helping pay the vets bill isn't the issue really it's a multifold problem.
Firstly he stopped the dog's insurance two years ago and I can only presume the account he said he was paying the money he was "saving" into doesn't exist.
Secondly, he messed up his accounts not me.
Thirdly, a hike in money out disproportionatly affects me as I'm the lowest earner in the house. So by saying you both owe X actually means I owe more than my brother.
Fourthly, as fast as I start to try saving again he decides he's buggered up his accounts again. He did this in November when he suddenly announced he was raising the rent.
It's exhausting and it half the time it feels as though he's just taking advantage. He's not indebt, his mortage is literally a triple figure total a year and he's retired but his pension is bigger than what I can earn in over two years (this is not including his state pension, Mum's various pensions and his stocks and shares) so you can kinda see why I want to scream. As for the brother he just grumps at me if I bring any of this up. It should also be pointed out that he has enough saved that he could put down a sizeable deposit on a house and not flinch. I however do not and as I'm learning to drive a sizeable portion of my income is spent this way. Like literally over a quarter of my income goes on this.
I have no real reason to complain I know there are people in worse situations but I just want to scream.
Can I vent?
It reall sickens me hearing people won't pay $300 for a wii u but they want one but are only willing to pay $200, $150, or $99 even. I don't care if they feel it's underpowered, possibly hundreds of people's blood, sweat and tears went into this console. Whether it was R&D, programming, designing games for it, or manufacturing these people worked themselves to bone. Some employees and their familes may have been inconvienced by the amount of work that went into the Wii U, some may not have been able to get adequate sleep, some may have fallen ill the whole while. They did all this for your entertainment and to earn money to live and thrive and because video games are something they are passionate about. So to expect them to sell their hard work at rock bottom prices is asinine and selfish
