Breaking and Entering [Elfie/Holly]
Holly studied the tank for a long time. There probably wouldn’t be much inside, but there was a good chance there’d be ammo. Maybe some scrap metal or electrical odds and ends. A first aid kit if she was real lucky.
And of course, it could’ve been cleared out a long time ago and she’d find nothing at all. The only way to know for sure was to go inside.
She led Ginger and Edna up as close as she dared, and tied them up next to the tank so they wouldn’t wander off. After briefly considering which of the guns she wanted -- the pistols seemed best for such a small space -- Holly crammed a box of ammo in the pocket of her jacket, found a couple of empty duffle bags and slung them over her shoulder. Climbing up the side of the tank, and up to the hatch was easy enough. It let out a loud, mournful creak as it was opened, and inside she could hear something -- or perhaps multiple somethings -- moving around. It was dark, even darker with her sunglasses on, so she quickly took them off and squinted into shadows, hoping to catch a glimpse of what might lingering in there. When nothing immediately presented itself, she chalked it up to a few radroaches, maybe a feral.
Either way, nothing she couldn’t handle. Holly took a steadying breath to calm her nerves, drew a pistol, before slowly entering the old tank.
