She froze, the phone in her hand clattering to the ground loudly, nobody's called her that in ages. They didn't turn around, they didn't want to, and they didn't need to. Wet hot tears streamed down from her face into his shoulder staining the fabric with salty liquid. Their shoulders shook as they cried a few choked sobs escaped the fabric echoing into the black void around, unintelligible muttering came from Lexi’s shoulders, something about missing him. Lexi soon returned the embrace, rubbing its hands along her back in a comforting motion.

They whispered as they continued to rub circles into Pizzaburger's back.

A few minutes, maybe even hours pass, the sobs slowly die down into sniffles. Eventually, Pizzaburger pulls away rubbing at her tear-stained face with the back of her sleeve. "My mother’s been hell since you disappeared, y’know”, they let out a humourless laugh attempting to brighten the atmosphere.

It was a simple sleeveless turtleneck, black cargo pants followed by knee high boots and black tactical fingerless gloves, the noob accessory they usually wore no longer on her head. Each piece of clothing having dried blood on them if you looked close enough.
