A delicious twist on the classic patty melt, these Pizza Patty Melts are packed with savory beef, pizza sauce, pepperoni, and gooey mozzarella cheese, all grilled to perfection between slices of Italian bread.
Ingredients: 1 lb ground beef. 1/4 cup pizza sauce. 1/4 cup chopped pepperoni. 1/4 cup chopped onion. 1/4 cup sliced mushrooms. 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese. 8 slices Italian bread. 2 tbsp butter.
Instructions: In a skillet, cook ground beef over medium heat until browned; drain. Stir in pizza sauce, pepperoni, onion, and mushrooms; heat through. Spread beef mixture over 4 slices of bread; sprinkle with mozzarella cheese and top with remaining bread slices. Spread butter over both sides of sandwiches. In the same skillet, toast sandwiches over medium heat for 2-3 minutes on each side or until golden brown and cheese is melted.
