some things are better left undead

For the past two weeks, Chanyeol has been dumbfounded yet again on why the lifespan of this one particular garden he frequents has been cut so short. It didn’t matter if it had been a week or even a few days, every time he visited the plants were in the same state as before: withered or completely dead.
A small frown tugs on the corners of his mouth, squinting down at the decaying plants before him, picking at his brain for a solution. He had even go far as to as the owners of the nursery he worked for advice, though their suggestion was as much help as his own knowledge, which was useless for this. “Maybe it’s the soil...” He mumbles to himself, squatting down next to a patch of parsley. He starts to put his revival skills to work, slowly pacing himself in an attempt to prevent another fainting incident.
He keeps a steady gaze on the plants before him, taking a short break in between to give himself some time to recover. During this break is when he regrets looking up at this time, the taller male feels his stomach drop. Eyes wide with panic, he is practically frozen with fear as what he mistakes as a full body apparition starts walking closer to the garden.. and him.
The ‘ghost’s’ pale skin illuminates in the setting sun’s glow, while Chanyeol falls back landing on his rear as he can only manage stare. He swallows nervously, unsure what to even say in the presence of a spirit, every television show taught him that nearly nine times out of ten any ghostly interaction was demonic. “P-Please don’t possess me..” He squeaks, a part of him hoping that perhaps he’s come into contact with something more like casper the friendly ghost and less like paranormal activity.
