One year ago, on 20th December 2013, I bought tickets for my first Pearl Jam concert and, six months later, I saw them play in Milan on 20th June.
Six months have passed since that glorious day and, well, a lot of fans shared their videos and created the epic “dvd” I’m posting here today, 20th December 2014: lot of feels everywhere (even if you weren’t there), so you better not forget to keep a tissue on hand! (◡‿◡✿)

he slowdanced with his wife?
Yeah! It was April Cameron’s birthday and Eddie asked us to sing “Happy Birthday” for her, so we did it and, while we were singin’ it, she came on stage, Matt hugged her, slowdanced with her and kissed her :’) I swear to God, I cried like a fuckin’ idiot ahaha It was beautiful, and I can’t believe that this fact is not so well-known and there aren’t any videos of that moment, because it was really sweet :’3
2 months have exactly passed since Pearl Jam’s gig in Milan that I attended and I can’t believe I haven’t found footage of Matt Cameron slowdancing with his wife yet
THIS IS SIMPLY UNACCEPTABLE
I’m finally listening to the Pearl Jam bootleg of the Milan show I attended on June and hOLY SHIT I CAN’T HANDLE ALL MY FEELS AND I’M CRYING ALL MY TEARS AND I’M SCREAMING LIKE A FUCKIN’ EAGLE
THEY CAN HEAR ME IN ANTARCTICA TOO, I S2G
Dear diary... special edition.
Friday’s show was great, but I wonder why the girls didn’t show up. I just hope Sara’s not mad at me because Italy lost the match after my little performance in support of the team or she’s gonna kick my ass…
Eddie

No way, Ed! I saw them and I also waved my arms about a lot to greet ‘em, but it didn’t work! Why the heck were you girls sitting so far away from the stage? :(
Mike
********************************************************************************************************************
Yeah! Plus, they also chose Gossard’s stage-side instead of ours, Mikey… Fuckin’ traitors, they don’t deserve our attentions! … oh, I was almost forgetting that I don’t give a shit about the two psychopaths, too bad for them :-))))))))
Jeff

Yeah, I spotted those two in the crowd. And, most of all, I heard them... yelling like scream queens and calling me “Steno”! I mean, what the hell?!?! If someone asks, I do not know them.
Stone

Wait, why did everybody suddenly cut their hair?! What the hell! Anyway, Eddie was amazing as always... ehm, I mean in his singing, of course. But I noticed he was walking with a little limp, I hope he’s ok... At some point during the show I had to go to the restroom and kinda heard he dedicated a song to someone, but I don’t know... As I came back, Sara stuttered he had sung a song for his favorite wine brand. I’m not fully convinced though...

Yeah, I chose to sit far away and on Stone(d)’s stage-side because it was the lesser evil… I’m forced to see mr. Montana’s ridiculous face (and body *COUGHS*) every fuckin’ day, so I decided to avoid the problem. Aaaanyway! I spotted two unknown guys on stage with you! Who are they? I mean, I wanted to say: who was the hella cute blondie behind the drums? And, most importantly: WHY THE FUCK HAVEN’T YOU INTRODUCED US YET?! WHAT ARE YOU WAITING FOR???
Sara

First of all: we forced the gang to get into the DeLorean and attend Milan’s gig because HOLY SHIT, GUYS Almost three days have passed and we haven’t recovered yet! Maybe we’ll never be able to do that… oh, well, whatever, nevermind. Anyway! We know that this stuff isn’t related to the fanfiction itself – at least, not entirely – but we wanted to share with you all the emotions and the awesome things that happened in San Siro three days ago.
Oh, due to all the feels and excitement and fangirling we forgot to take a picture together AHAHAHA we’re two idiots, we know that :D But you have to understand us: for the two of us, meeting for the first time at a Pearl Jam concert was simply unbelievable… it made everything become even more wonderful than what we were expecting! :3 The cool thing was that we were a bit far from each other, but Layla’s alter-ego had a lot of vacant seats near her, so Sara’s alter-ego ran the risk of sitting next to her, aaaaand… it worked! Nobody came to complain, so we were miraculously able to spend the concert together, fangirling and laughing and crying and so on. :D
But let the concert review begin!
The first heart-attack almost arrived around 6 PM (the concert was beginning at 8.30 PM): we were watching the beginning of Italy - Costa Rica match broadcasted on the stadium’s maxi-screens, when suddenly one of them began to broadcast the image of a man. We didn’t realize what was happening – we also thought that it was one of the sound technicians – but it was EDDIE VEDDER. Just imagine how fuckin’ shocked we were AHAHAHAHA We almost fell down the terraces and screamed a lot, thanking our wise decision of coming early to the stadium, which in fact was still not so full of people… we were lucky bastards :P Eddie came on stage really early, wearing a t-shirt of Italy football team – with EDDIE and 10 written on the back – and sang us a wonderful acoustic version of Porch, then wished us good luck in Italian and ran away. Then Italy lost the match, but I think that all of us spectators didn’t care at all: his gift was enough :3 The rest of the time was spent by watching the match, booing Costa Rica’s team – and our team faults too, of course – and looking around to see if anybody was going to demand the seat that Sara’s alter-ego had taken :D The gig started ten minutes later than expected, but the waiting was worth: the first four songs played were Release, Nothingman (the vision of Jeff already playing the double bass almost killed Sara’s alter-ego), Sirens and Black, so just try to imagine our state of mind when these masterpieces were played at the beginning… those bastards wanted us to immediately use up our tears supply, but they failed! :D Needless to say that the whole crowd in the stadium sang along during these first songs, and the following ones, giving us goosebumps. Don’t get us wrong, the band itself was amazing, but when you listen to great songs played live with 60000 people singing along with you, the feeling is amplified. The following song was Go and the atmosphere immediately changed: everybody went fuckin’ crazy and there were people dancing and headbanging and it was fuckin’ great AHAHA Then our lovely men played Do The Evolution (during the epic “Hallelujah” part Mike, who was sharing the mic with Jeff, put a pick in his mouth and we nearly died :’D), Corduroy, Lightning Bolt, Mind Your Manners, Pilate, Untitled and MFC. Then it was Given To Fly’s turn and here something epic happened: Eddie forgot the words :D But all of us, 60 thousands people, sang them and he laughed and screamed “FUCK, ASSHOLE, ASSHOLE, FUCK YOU” to himself in Italian, so it was simply hilarious AHAHAHA Then they made us really happy by playing Who You Are and Sad, and the predictable Even Flow’s presence was justified by an insanely epic solo, courtesy of mr. McCready :3 After Swallowed Whole, Eddie wished happy birthday to Michael, a 13-years-old boy who was attending his first concert (what a nice start!), and then they proceeded to play Into The Wild’s Setting Forth, an extremely powerful Not For You, Why Go and another bomb: Rearviewmirror. After all these things, Encore Break 1 was ready to begin: they played Yellow Moon, Elderly Woman Behind The Counter In A Small Town and the lovely Thin Air. Then Eddie told us – in Italian, what a cutie – that Pearl Jam had played in Milan in 2000: it had been a great show, but it was an awful period for him… he didn’t explain, but we all knew that he was referring to Beth. But, he added, in Milan he met a girl that became the mother of his daughters and his wife, and he was happy to celebrate with us the fourteenth anniversary of their first meeting. Thus said, he dedicated to her Just Breathe and that was the moment when everybody was cryin’: it was pure magic, just thinkin’ about it gives us a lot of goosebumps! Then they played Daughter – and the awesome thing was that they also added snippets of W.M.A., Frozen’s Let It Go and Dead Moon’s It’s Okay – and, after Jeremy, Eddie asked us to sing Happy Birthday to Matt’s wife, while the adorable mr. Cameron slow danced with her and kissed her :’) After this sweet moment it was Better Man’s turn – with a bit of The English Beat’s Save It For Later – followed by fuckin’ bombs like Spin The Black Circle and Lukin, and Porch’s encore. At that point, we all knew that we were heading for the ending of the show, but nobody wanted it to happen: Eddie started Encore Break 2 with a wonderful speech, telling us that we are living in the greatest age of science, knowledge, technology and discover that our world has ever know but, at the same time, war and people’s mental health and corruption of the government keep all the people from living in peace. Obviously we agreed on this and he laughed and told us that it’s wonderful to go anywhere in the world and see many people like us agree on anything he says, because “It’s fucking beautiful… It gives us hope. It means that we are winning.” Imagine how moved we were, AAAAAH And then they ended the show with Alive (Mike went offstage to shake the hands of the people in the front row, while keeping on playing his guitar, A GOD OMFG), Neil Young’s Rockin’ In The Free World (Mike didn’t play his guitar… Matt’s son did :D we laughed a lot when Mike tried to take a selfie of him and Jeff with his Polaroid and when he told Ray Cameron to play the solo and the boy said “WHAAAAAT? NOOOO” AHAHAHAHA afraid of being compared with McMelty, huh? :D) and the perfect Yellow Ledbetter. These were the last heart-attacks that we had, and they were fuckin’ beautiful.
We were thinking that, considering the fact that it was a show about family and other sweet things, it was pretty strange that Eddie didn’t mention the thirtieth anniversary of Jeff and Stone’s wonderful relationship… but, you know, maybe they didn’t want to make the entire stadium explode because of all the awesomeness :’D Anyway! Except for the guys who were selling sandwiches, beers and shit like that and that were blocking our view during every moving song – for example, Nothingman or Jeremy – everything was great and we felt blessed to be there with them and all those fans… we felt alive, and we must thank only Eddie, Jeff, Stone, Mike, Matt and Boom for that. So, darling guys, come back soon: Milan (AND VERONA TOO, FUCK!) are already waiting for you!
