I want an AU where that offer actually means she wants to adopt him. and he says yes. and poseidon has to freak out at 3am in the morning because his ex and his 12y/o delinquent son have just teamed up, singlehandedly taken down kronos because they were bored and now they're coming for him too please please please please please it would be so goddamn funny they would be such an iconic duo, snake lady and her adopted weirdo nephew who she kidnapped from an olympian because she had a grudge against his father but then she realized that he's actually pretty cool and ykw they could rule the world together because why not please please please

it’s actually very important to me that percy is daddy’s favorite like he’ll throw around shit about everyone else’s dad but he saw his own father humiliate himself concede to zeus to save his son like yeah he needs to have a My Dad Loves Me Better Than Yours attitude. i just think he deserves it he’s gotta have this one win in this miserable existence

anyways

i have a theory that the people who do not like the percy jackson show for all the changes they made are also people who dont read a lot of fanfic or read a lot of canon compliant fanfic

to be clear thats totally fine im just theorizing because i really enjoyed it and i thought all the changes were great and fit really well with who the characters have become in the later books but i also read a lot of canon divergent fanfics.

im also more attached to the characters and their personalities than i am the events in the books. and the character arcs stayed the same. idk i am just pondering, no judgement from me
