This fandom is problematic. Always has been, fights are started way too easily and hate is sent way too often, but most of us learn from our mistakes and change. We grow up. I can think of a few slut shaming posts I reblogged when i started this blog, and I then realized it was wrong. I don't reblog that kind of thing anymore unless I see some spectacular commentary that is disproving the original image/textpost. But that doesn't mean I didn't used to slut shame, however it does mean that i changed and I learned from my mistakes. Why? Not because I got called out on it in the form of a 'receipt' , but because someone sent me a concerned message and explained why what I was doing was wrong, carefully , patiently and very politely. I feel like its important to say that if someone is doing something you find a) offensive or b) problematic, don't be rude about it or just simply tag them in a list about what you think or someone else thinks that particular person is doing wrong, educate them, try and help them , be polite about it , send them a private message and if they don't answer, leave it, you tried and thats what matters. But come on, don't start a blog about it in a fandom known for being easily riled up.
