Some turntables are built to impress. Others are built to be lived with. The Pioneer PL-12D leans toward feel over precision. Not perfect, but once it’s set up right, it’s easy to stay with. Full review:

Some macro shots I made today from my Pioneer PL-12D turntable from 1974.
Recently bought this turntable from the first owner for € 35,-. Apart from a dried out belt it was near mint, although it needed a bit off cleaning. First owner clearly was a smoker. Ordered a new belt on Amazon and it is playing perfect now. Looking for a, not to expensive, receiver or amplifier & tuner from the seventies. Saw a nice amplifier & tuner set from Nikko in Germany, might pick it up next week!
