Escaping A God || Ahiga
@son-of-uktena Santino was fed up with this godforsaken sickness that was poisoning the world. He hated having to pretend like he was a mortal who could actually be affected by all of this nonsense. He had thought - once Ahiga had been made immortal - that they could go someplace else, at least for a little while. It was nearing the end of may, and it was still far too cold for his liking. He missed the warmth of his beloved Italy. Days so warm that the sun’s heat could still be felt on the asphalt at night.
But Ahiga had training to do. Tamlin insisted.
Santino watched as Ahiga finally came back into the house after his daily session with the Grand Alpha. He reached out, pulling the shaman into his lap. “We should go to Italy.” His tone did not broker a question, or a suggestion. Merely a statement. “I want to see my beloved Rome under the light of the sun again...” He hadn’t truly been back to Italy since he had received the serum.
He didn’t count the brief jaunt there with Rian - that had been a month ago, and they hadn’t been there for long, not even a full day. And they hadn’t left the house. He ached to see Italy beneath the sunlight, and he wanted to share it with his beloved. “Will you come with me?”
