Im so serious when I say that plague lucio's design make me foam at the mouth Like
Look at how pathetic he is. I need to impregnate him
thinking about the possibility of Nadia building Plague Lucio a wheelchair + jumping hoops so he'll fuckin accept it
(idk why I decided to do present tense)
You know, it is a shame that they never show just how bad the plague spread through Lucio. He lived with it for a year, and official art showed that the red spreads way past the eyes, taking over the limbs as well. I wanted to make what Lucio would have looked like when he was far into the plague since the official sprite only shows his eyes as red. Isn’t he lovely?
I just died in your arms tonight (Lucio x gender neutral!MC)
This is a gift for @countlucioskisses! We started talking because of sick with the plague Lucio so I wrote this for her!
Summary: Lucio is sick and dying. He shares a sweet moment with his beloved apprentice. Based upon the trinket scenes (which are horrible!!!). Title is based on the actual song, makes for nice background music while reading.
Words: 799

Real life conversations I’ve had as the arcana cast pt. 2
Plague!Lucio: “Look me in the face and tell me I’m sick motherfucker. Gods don’t get sick.”
Asra: “You know I was gonna say you sound sick but you’re right you’re nasally and annoying all the time.”
Lucio - Receding Hairline???
First. Let me thank @arcanathots for having this discussion with me and sharing some of her own ideas on the topic. Always a pleasure to theorize with you!
So it's occasionally pointed out in the game that Lucio has a receding hairline.
I'm not seeing it. Sorry. This is just a blonde guy with a widow's peak.
However, there WAS a time when he did have a receding hairline. Take a look at his Plague Sprite.
By comparing the two photos, you may see it. This was more than likely the result of either prolonged stress or it was a symptom of the plague. I say, "Why not both?" The count had much to think of while laying in bed day after day while being sick.
I'm certain as time went on without a cure he began to experience anxiety, depression, and even had more fits. The stress level would rise greatly with such a mental strain. It was mentioned that Lucio was afraid of death, which he denied, but if we're being honest...who the hell isn't afraid to die? No doubt he'd be feeling the pressure the longer he went without his cure.
Then there is the plague. No doubt the plague destroys the body's immune system quickly, there is no telling what else it could do given enough time to inflict further damage. Remember, people were dying left and right within only a few days of catching it. Lucio had it for MONTHS. Hell, I think even a full year. No doubt his body was being taxed.
Notice that you can see his sternum, his clavicle, and even the zygomatic bone of his face. There is loss of muscle tone which implies that there was a loss of appetite and lack of physical exercise after time. This we already know well. Not only that, but he is very pale, which may be the result of a lack of sunlight and/or anemia. Then there was shit going on with his brain when he began to have delusions. His body was fighting a hard battle but was failing.
Let me introduce you to a condition called Telogen effluvium. It is a condition of hair loss that is reversible. Basically, it is where the person is under so much stress, they experience hairloss. Usually, there's not really a bald spot, it's really more of a thinning of the hair; some areas of the scalp may be more affected than others.
This usually happens (during and/or after) prolonged stress, shock, or after the body experiences some sort of trauma. The hair usually grows back once the problem is sorted through. Looking at how long he was sick and what all he was experiencing, I'm willing to take a gamble on it.
I'm also willing to bet the receding hairline thing is some joke that was just never really forgotten about. Asra was probably the one to start that knowing it'd get to the Count and everyone just jumped on the bandwagon; it never gets old and thus it survives three years after Lucio's "death".
Nasty plague boy count lucio.
