Well, rats.
3 plague monks 🐀
My son also has a Skaven army. These are his plague monks, which I don't know much about, so I have to look up a suitable design to put on their banner. Figuring out how to use contrast paints better and learning how to use a wet palette has made me a little bit cocky about taking on very large batch projects, like a skaven army.
Thank you handsome commissioner for your disturbing yet somehow sexy commission! Skaven lady Plague Monk for a commissioner!
Well now for the even more pestilent part of my Skaven horde: The Plague Monks of Clan Pestilence.
I had a lot of fun painting these. Even did my own little thing with a spare father christmas bell I had left over from the christmas chocolate of my eldest daughter. So now the bellbarer is a true BELLbarer. :-)
Anyway, these incredible minis were made by “Games Workshop” (https://www.games-workshop.com) and I would advice everyone who wants to start Skaven to buy the basic “Start Collecting” box. You get 20 of those cool plague monks, a warp lightning cannon/catapult and a screaming bell/plague furnace.
The first clawpack of Skreek Ironfang! 210 clanrats, 52 stormvermin, screaming bell, doomwheel, abomination, 20 plague monks, plague claw catapult, night runners, plague priest, the list goes on! I’ve got a further six warplock engineers on the way, I’ve got 120 more clanrats to assemble, plague furnace… i will use all these. And some are destined for use in AoS! All hail the might of Warlord Skreek!
And that's my very first unit of Skaven complete! Well, other than basing and the banner- but I've put a coat of sealant on them, so that's good enough for me.
Tonight's project done! Five of the Dancing Plague Monks based up in Naggaroth Night!
