In My Time of Need ||Closed
It was after midnight and most of the city was quiet. Except for the alley where three men had ganged up on Gabriel. He did his best to protect his body, but their boots and fists had already hit enough that it didn’t much matter. He was just lucky they didn’t seem intent on killing him or immediately bringing weapons into the fray.
Gabriel felt their attacks stop and heard voice, but his head was pounding too much for him to make out the words. There was a final stomp on his arm and he heard and felt something break, causing him to yell out in pain. And then they were gone.
He didn’t know how long he laid there or if he had passed out from the pain, but he pulled out his phone that had miraculously not gotten smashed. With shaking, bloodied fingers, he scrolled through the contacts before he found Sam, dialing him and hoping he picked up and was able to help. He lay there next to the garbage, listening to it ring.
