Hi there! Sorry to bug you. I really love your photography! I was wondering, what kind of camera/lens so you use? Also, how do you compensate for the weird lighting at cons & concerts? I find my con photos always have tons of motion blur or noise. :/

oh hi! sorry I see that this was sent a while ago! thank you so much. At concerts I use my Canon sx50 as it does not have a detachable lens and is generally allowed at all venues. I shoot in manual mode (though you can probably get away with Av at a concert and only adjust minor things). I only usually have to adjust the shutter speed in manual mode on that one, depending on the lighting I usually shoot anywhere from 1/80 (which can cause issues with blur) to 1/350, usually a well lit show I can shoot 1/100 and capture pretty decent images. The brighter the show, the higher the shutter speed. 

For cons, I use my Nikons.. I have a couple of bodies. the last couple of cons I have shot with my d5000 and I rent the 70-200 f 2.8 lens usually. I shoot in aperture mode there (though I probably should get a bit more familiar with manual mode on it). I usually only have to adjust exposure when shooting though. Most of the time I don’t have to adjust it too much (unless the spotlights aren’t working with me) except with Jensen and Jared, for some reason, no matter what they’re wearing (I assume because of their skin coloring) I have to shoot Jared with a much darker exposure than I shoot Jensen. It also could be Jensen is usually in dark colors and closer to me but who knows. It’s the reason that Sunday is the most taxing on me when I’m shooting. Just constant adjustment can be exhausting with as many photos as I shoot.. plus the weight of the big lens.
