Bottom photo by the talented @brigby Alien: Covenant's homage to Eisenstein's revolutionary editing techniques used in the filming of Battleship Potemkin, the silent film's scene resulted in an un-precedentedly horrifying and stunning spectacle, charged with political meaning. These same methods were used to film the scene of the pathogen drop, alternating between David's view of the city and the view of the ship from below where the Engineers gathered. And @noahrobertmiller Also mentioned that the scream in Battleship Potemkin influenced Francis Bacon's piece "Three figures at the base of a crucifixion" which in turn inspired the design of the Alien Chestburster. I'd like to take a moment to point out some inconsistencies in the following marketing campaign shown. 1. It is spelled Eggs, not Egg's. 2. Those are labeled Puff Spores on the home Blu-ray, and on the infographic released by @20thcenturyfox it was Egg Sac 3. They are infact Puff Balls, but the creature that lives within it causes infection. It is a courier just like the facehugger. And its called a mote. So in summary: WATCH YOUR STEP. Disturbing the Egg Sac/Puff Balls most certainly results in death.
