        ‘ tenn- lady sa-vin! ‘ coming out of the rooms of acton ren, this would hardly look good. she’d spent nearly two days on this form, tailoring it to fit the mark assigned by kylo. tenno was supposed to be away on a mission, only coming back AFTER acton was gone. she’d come back early. would tenno believe that acton was seeing someone else? that was certainly what it looked like, she was sure, with this carefully crafted body hovering in the doorway. ‘ i- master ren has stepped out, sent on a mission. i’m afraid you just missed him. ‘ and encountered her instead.

          dominy had given her warning, well, not just her. he’d given warning to the whole resistance, given that it was technically a first order shuttle that would be arriving at their base. but he had warned her that he would be bring her. tenno. her sister. her twin. he got out first, moving away too quickly for anything other than giving the sisters space. poe took him away, probably to talk with leia. 

          which left taza standing on the landing pad, wringing her hands, waiting to see her sister. and she stood there for a minute, two, five. ‘ tenno? ‘ she called, wondering if her sister could hear her. ‘ tenno are you going to come out? cause, if not, i’m coming in. ‘

        she couldn’t possibly be the only one that noticed. it wasn’t like they were being subtle. as far as she knew, there was no reason for a wizard to be hanging around the pack. sure, she was still pretty new to all this, but the general consensus was confusion. maybe it was just that none of the others wanted to approach him because he was the alpha? well, dominy had always been pretty upfront when she’d been human, becoming a wolf hadn’t erased that.

           ‘ so. when does the wizard move in? ‘

        jalen had been nervous. trying to say something. dominy was perfectly content letting his son take his time. but time was dragging on, and he could see his eldest child becoming more and more nervous. well, if ever there was a time to relieve him of his stress, it was now. ‘ you’re going to study with master dameron to become a jedi. when do you leave? ‘

         her bones were tired. every movement was a struggle, a fight to keep going when everything had been lost. perhaps she had never fully recovered from mustafar, from the implications of that dreaded day, but still she would fight. the blaster was warm in her hand, each squeeze of the trigger felling another stormtrooper. aggressive negotiations, she’d once told anakin. but then she turned, and it was not a polished white helmet before her, but a towering black monster. speak of the devil. blaster remained aimed, but her finger was frozen on the trigger. 

            ‘ i’m not afraid of you. ‘

           ‘ we can’t just do nothing. ‘ if they kept their heads down, stayed off the imperial radar, they could live out their lives on some forgotten outer rim planet. but the galaxy. there were so many others under the thumb of the empire. ‘ kes. we have to fight. join the rebellion. ‘

         han is the loud one, leia the quiet. and yet, this quiet is quiet even for the younger skywalker. she’d always known she was adopted, but never gave much thought to it. after all, the organas were her parents. they had raised her, instilled her with the values that had guided her life. but she had a brother now, and it had opened a door that she couldn’t shut. 

           ‘ what do you think they were like? before everything went wrong? ‘
