I’ve been drawing some personifications of the planets as deities on my iPad. Here we’ve got:

The Sun

She’s the boss, the queen goddess. Inspired mainly by Mesopotamia’s Innana, but also Aphrodite. She’s confident and strong, but also demanding and sometimes arrogant. Typical leader-goddess

Mercury

The Sun’s attendant and messenger. Her closets confidant (they’re lesbians Harold). Based mainly on Mesopotamia’s Ninshubur. Very fluid and clever. Loyal to that which is most important

Venus

Peak feminine power as well as danger. A seducer, an entertainer, a protector and acceptor of those who’ve beed hated, a cunning strategist. A fairy and a shark at the same time. In conflict with Mars

Earth

Gaia. Curious and filled with wonder. Having a blast experiencing herself. Gets a little caught in the middle of Venus and Mars fighting

The Moon

Earth’s companion, watcher and guardian. Receives messages from an unknown force

Mars

The masculine warrior. A defender and boundary enforcer. Struggles with regulating emotions and figuring out what he really wants. Feels overlooked and misunderstood. Feels like he’s running out of time

Jupiter

An older order keeper kind of guy, as well as a builder. Has a lot of big projects going on

Pluto

The outsider, the one that gets blamed by those who want to point their finger at an easy target. The solar system is heading one way, this is the one who’s keeping a look out in the direction they all came from. What’s following behind? They know a lot about a lot

So I saw a fun solarballs fandom thing where it’s a bunch of sona planets orbiting a black hole named tumblr and I thought it would be fun to give it a go! This au is made by @just-call-mefr1es and @finligz with both of their wonderful sonas inspiring me to do this :D

Now please pardon my yap about space and how it’s amazing.

Ok I was thinking about this basically all day and I absolutely love ringed planets. Can a planet have rings in 3 different locations? Probably not because of the center of mass and all. Did I still do it? Yes. No one can stop me we’re already orbiting a black hole things don’t have to make sense all the time lol. I love this idea and the fact that the black hole is named tumblr is amazing. I haven’t got designs for the moons yet but their names (from biggest to smallest) are: Zoey, Cody, Benny, Play, Picks, Elle, and Axol. The 3 different moons that crashed into him making the rings’ names were Betty, Brew, and Keto. Bro is in denial about eventually falling into the black hole and is totally chill about it. I made the symbol kinda look like a crown for kingly reasons lol.

Sorry about the long ass paragraph, TL;DR This is a really fun au and I’m glad I made this :D

Commission for @butchwaifu of his original character Amreaux as a planet.

The idea for the character is they're the spiritual embodiment of a planet.

This was really fun because it was very open ended! The character has enormous claw-like hands which I turned into some pretty interesting continents. Their green and orange hair became autumnal foliage. Since my last go at drawing clouds, I've tried to get more detail using the limited brushes I have available to me.

It's funny, like, I've seen people do like, human-sona art of the solar system planets, but it's kinda funny to go the reverse direction.

In this one, without stars in the background, you can make out that there's actually three moons in total. One minor moon orbiting Amreaux, and one tiny subsatellite of Amreaux's orange moon. The customer didn't ask for this so you know. Take their existence with a grain of salt, I just thought it'd be cool.

Gonna be honest, I've been using a planetsona version of myself as a way to vent my emotions. Like look at this lad.

He's got trauma, the poor thing. However I'm actually really happy with how he's turning out. Characters that have made an appearance so far in his story are The Sun and Venus. Venus is the one with golden(?) Hair. And the sun is pure fire. That shit is spicy.

Moon is the characters name. Venus is the friend alongside some other planets. Sun and the moon use to be close but incident occured and this is the moons version of his trauma after the incident. (He's got a hand print based burn on his back.) It's a excuse for me to vent while expressing my emotions so have fun with that I suppose. Oof.

Venus is fucking beautiful. Holy shit.
