~big dreams, little energies ✏️🐌☕️ doing best to give myself grace but boy howdy, some days sure are tougher than others. I’m trying to remember that moving slower is okay, & softening into rest is okay too… rest is a part of being able to initiate creative action. phew <3 we got this!!

The base sketch for that Jason piece I did last week. I can’t draw for shit when I sit down to do it, but my half-asleep English class doodles turn out like this, smh.

A school year’s worth of Moomin doodles, and some miscellaneous headcanons to accompany them:

I’ve seen some really great ideas for an older Moomingang around tumblr, which definitely influenced my drawing of the grown-up Tanoshii Mūmin Ikka characters. I think Sniff, with his love of crystals and jewels, would become a geologist. Moomin continues with his carpentry, and so obligatory accessory ends up being a tool belt. Snorkmaiden, who has started going by Snorkmadam, is a playwright. Of course, Snufkin just stays a vagabond, and Little My also just does her own thing.

Snorkmaiden/Nonnon plays the piano in the 69’ anime, so I really want her and Snufkin to be jam buddies.

The Fuzzy Felt series gave Snufkin such long hippie hair, so I figured Snorkmaiden has to have styled it at least once.

I also drew an older Shin Mūmin Snufkin (who is himself an older version of the 1969 Snufkin). My idea was that Moomin kept giving him another one of those amulets at the end of every year (referencing this scene). Omamori “expire” after one year, and you’re supposed to burn them, but I figured Snufkin would never get rid of a gift from Moomin, so he just keeps accumulating more and more, and still tries to wear them all at once.
